Snickerdoodle Cake for Two

Think of a cake that just came out of the oven. Picture the warm, perfectly crumbly, and moist goodness. The smell from the cake fills the room evenly, and makes your mouth water.

Now, think of that same cake, and guess what? It only takes 5 minutes to make and it is for two.

With just my husband and I in our house, I don’t want to make a cake that serves twelve. My husband may disagree and have the other eleven servings for himself, but I am all about the quick 5 minutes prep and cook time for this cake.

Here’s the steps to your five minute, heavenly, warm, perfectly crumbly, moist cake:

Step 1: Mix all the dry ingredients.

Step 2: Add in the wet ingredients, and mix well.

Step 3: Place the mixture into the mug.

Step 4: Cook for 1-2 minutes and enjoy.

Snickerdoodle, Cake, For Two, Recipe
I know this may not look like much, but it is oh so good!

Snickerdoodle Cake for Two

Prep Time: 4 minutes

Cook Time: 1 minute

Total Time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional: Cinnamon sugar mixture for toppings

DIRECTIONS:

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Once the dry ingredients are well mixed, stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Place half the batter into one mug, and the other half into the second mug.

If you would like to add cinnamon sugar to your cake, add this layer to the top of the cake.

Place in the microwave and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until cooked through.

TIPS: Each microwave varies in wattage and power and you may need to cook your cake for shorter of longer. I have found that my microwave cooks the snickerdoodle cake perfectly in one minute, and fifteen seconds.

When adding the cake batter/mixture to the mugs, I like to add cinnamon sugar layers in the middle of the cake.
