For Two: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Think of warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookies. Have I got you hooked yet?

If not, I tried, I am sorry. But chocolate chip cookies only need a few words to grab my attention.

Either way, chocolate chip cookies call for some milk, a movie, and a blanket! This recipe is chocolate chip cookies for two, and is so nice when you want to cook just a few cookies. And it is quick! When the chocolate chip cookie craving comes around, I need them so quick!

The easiest tools to use when making cookies are a cookie scoop and a silicone spatula. A cookie scoop is so nice to grab the perfect amount of cookie dough and place it on the cookie sheet, and a silicone spatula is great for mixing, stirring, and scraping, and making sure that you have everything mixed in the cookie dough.

Here are the steps to making chocolate chip cookies:

Step 1: Mix together brown sugar, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.

Step 2: Add egg yolk and stir.

Step 3: Add flour and baking soda, and stir well.

Step 4: Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 5: Place cookies on baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • pinch of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.

In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.

Add flour and baking soda, then mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Mix dough until just combined. You do not want to over mix cookie dough. The dough should be soft and a little sticky.

Scoop out cookie dough and place on a baking sheet.

NOTE: Prep four cookies for gooey, larger cookies, and prep six cookies for crispier, smaller cookies.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Be sure not to over bake the cookies. When you remove the cookies from the oven to cool, they will continue to cook on the heated cookie sheet. The edges should be brown when taken out of the oven.

NOTE: Bake 8 minutes for smaller cookies, and bake 10 minutes for larger cookies)

Enjoy!
