Green Peas Mac and Cheese

Don’t let this title deceive you… It’s just a fun one to say. Also, it is short and sweet. Can you imagine saying, “yellow corn, ground meat, green peas, mac and cheese, and dash of garlic powder?” Which is why I stuck to “green peas mac and cheese.”


This is a quick meal with a twist on your regular mac and cheese. Plus, it’s a great way to hide in those veggies!


Anyways, I feel that most of the time, we have all these ingredients in our house ready to go. So if you do not have enough time to go to the store on your way home, that’s okay! You can simply make Green Peas Mac and Cheese!


Here are the steps you need to make Green Peas Mac and Cheese!


Step 1: Brown the meat while the macaroni and cheese is cooking.


Step 2: Once the mac and cheese is cooked, stir in the meat, peas, corn, and garlic powder.


Step 3: Serve warm and enjoy!


 

For Two: Green Peas Mac and Cheese


Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 box of Kraft macaroni and cheese

  • 1/2 pound ground turkey (or ground beef)

  • 3/4 cup of peas

  • 3/4 cup of corn

  • Dash of garlic powder

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

  • Carrots

  • Onion

  • Green beans


DIRECTIONS:

Prepare the Kraft macaroni and cheese as directed. While the mac and cheese is cooking, brown the meat. Once the meat is browned, add it into the prepared mac and cheese. Then add the peas, corn, and any other extras that you desire. Add in the garlic powder, stir well, and enjoy!
